A premium of 17% will be added to the hammer price of all Property sold. This premium is payable by all purchasers.
Applicable GST will be charged on top of the Hammer Price and Buyer's Premium on all lots for purchasers in Canada. HST will be charged to those buyers of applicable provinces.
Everything we offer at auction has what we refer to as a 'pre-sale estimate'. This figure is based upon previous auction results by the artist for similar works. This price range represents our opinion of the approximate sale price of any given lot. Pre-sale estimates are not appraised values. Please contact the office for more information on any particular lot.
A reserve is the confidential minimum price agreed upon between the seller and the auction house, below which the artwork will not ordinarily be sold. With our proprietary auction software, the opening bid is the reserve price. If the opening bid is $1, then there is no reserve and $1 is the absolute minimum you can bid. In no case does the reserve exceed the printed estimate.
Our auctions have a “soft close”. This means they do not close immediately.
If a bid is submitted after the stated closing time of any given session, an automatic 120 second bidding extension is added to the auction clock. The system requires NO BIDS in the final 60 seconds to close the session.

After the entire auction closes, a notification is sent to each successful bidder listing the lot number and final bid amount of each winning bid. A buyer's premium of 17% will be added to each lot as well as applicable taxes which are determined by where the bidder resides.
Although we can accept money by e-transfer, bank wire, debit, cheque, or cash the standard method of payment is via the credit card on file with your account. Please let us know before the auction closes if you need to arrange an alternate method of payment.
Your credit card on file will be charged 1 hour after the complete auction closes.
If you have not made arrangements for an alternate method of payment before the auction closes and your credit card is charged, you may incur processing and administration fees to deal with refunds etc.
