Michelena Bamford is an artist, community activist, and the owner of Wolf Willow Studio here in Calgary. Through the medium of mosaic, Michelena utilizes salvaged materials; reclaiming them into unique textural artwork and murals, many of which are built collaboratively with groups and organizations. She is a proud Calgarian, living in a little home with four boys and a menagerie of pets including two rescue dogs that she may have to cast and mosaic after doing this cool project with PALS.

Anna Pederson is a Calgary artist with a broad range of interests including oil, acrylic and watercolour. Her passion is to travel and create artwork reflective of the various people, cultures, nature and architecture she encounters with a realistic and inviting style. She has studied under Belva Launstein and David Kitler and has had exhibitions at Spruce Meadows Agrium Country Fair, Calgary Stampede Scholarship, Calgary Art Walk, Calgary Stampede Western Showcases, Grace Artistry Show, and Sweet Talk Stables Show and Auction. Anna is also an instructor at the Jewish Community Centre in Calgary and was a PALS volunteer.

Alberta-born artist, Annette Resler, has a resume of life experiences which lead her into the world of art and painting. She credits her powerful love for the craft to her Mom. Annette and her husband live in Okotoks, Alberta. One entry on her resume would say that she enjoyed many years as a stay at home mom to two terrific sons. Hubby and sons encourage and support Annette’s passion, plus they don’t seem to mind when she plays her music a little too loudly. Annette continues to hone her skills as an artist in her home studio, usually with an eclectic selection of music playing in the background. She also paints en plein air at every opportunity. The challenge of focus, colour mixing and working in varied light (and weather) conditions of the great outdoors is what she calls "magical".

By the artist 'Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta I've been an artist my entire life. I drew pictures in the car rides to campsites as a kid, always favoured my art homework over my "real" homework. A graduate from the ACAD with a bachelor of design degree, I have happily been a graphic design and illustration professional for over twelve years. I've spent that time working on many successful brand and advertising campaigns, magazines and illustrations. I still like getting my hands dirty and getting away from the computer to do traditional techniques. I've always loved working on animals (and with them!) and in pursuit of getting back to something more grounded and non-digital I've begun doing portraiture as a venue for that. The classical aspects of traditional painting techniques have served to make my design skills stronger, and vice versa. I leverage my design experience to make each pet portrait the best it can be.'
