PLEASE NOTE: This lot was sold in an online benefit auction where all proceeds went to the Whyte Museum in Banff, Alberta and there was no Buyer's Premium.; Ed’s work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, nationally and internationally for four decades. His sculptural ceramic pieces are held in public collections in Canada and abroad, as well as in many private collections in Canada, the United States, and around the world.
His work takes inspiration from numerous sources, including the natural world, historical sites of earlier civilizations, architectural design and function, the process of erosion and its 'drawing' on the earth, to name a few. He is also keenly interested in the influence of the natural environment on human culture - and conversely, the impact of human activity on that environment.
