Reference
according to the consignor, 'From the Nickerson collection. In Dr. Nelson Graburn’s competition, Peter Iqallu Angutikirq entered 'Crouching Male Spirit', 1967. A squatting armless figure showed a large dangling penis there [Vorano, p. 22]. This Uqaitu is clearly related. The figure stands erect, with short paws instead of arms, but with that large penis.'

Anne Petrie was the award-winning CBC TV journalist [Petrie on Prime, etc.] and author [Gone to an Aunt’s]. English/Film Studies Professor Maurice Yacowar had a double stint at the University of Calgary, as the founding [and the first fired] editor of the student paper, The Gauntlet, then as Dean of Fine Arts.
