letter from Bill Mayberry states 'I purchased this unsigned painting by Nicholas de Grandmaison from a member of the Shore family of Winnipeg. Grandmaison was a friend of the family and this painting Blackfoot Indian Woman, oil on canvas laid down 12.5 x 12.5 hung in their cottage at Lake of the Woods from the 1940-ies till I acquired it in 2004. I guarantee this to be an authentic work by the artist' attached in envelope verso
