Reference
bears inscription 'Crowfoot was the leading Chief of the Blackfeet. He was born in 1830 to the Blood tribe but had moved north to the Blackfeet when his widowed mother married a man from that tribe. Crowfoot was responsible for the signing of the treaty in 1877 with Canada. He died in 1890 at Blackfoot Crossing and was buried at Sand Hills.' on label verso; also includes a 34 cent stamp with a portrait of Crowfoot
