biography from the artist:
I began exhibiting in galleries when I was 10 years old and continued throughout life [72 years old now] in public and private galleries. Drawing and painting were always my strong suits and was classically trained at an early age. Winning prizes was too easy and I stopped entering contests when I was about 12. I stopped exhibiting in 2006 except for a few informal exhibits in friends' coffee shops and my public market studio in Chemainus that closed at the end of 2024. At one time or another I have worked for [as exhibit tech; conservation tech; curator; etc] and exhibited in most of the museums and galleries in the Victoria area except the most commercial home decorator style galleries; as well as Or Gallery Vancouver; Port Angeles Art Gallery; Brush Fire Gallery In Alberta; Bulrush Gallery in Nova Scotia; Fusion Gallery in Montreal and Kunstler Gallery in Germany. 28 exhibits by 1991. Can't recall how many exhibits between 1992 and today.
