Reference
according to the artist 'The paintings made between 2008 and 2022 evolved from aerial views of landscape and sky, juxtaposed with modern architecture. Coming from a sculpture background, I became interested in flattening space and translating the physical qualities of sculpture into the picture plane. Over time, recognizable imagery gave way to non-representational colour fields, grids and geometric structures. The Fibonacci sequence provided an underlying sustem for proportion, rhythm and repetition, while colour became the priary subject. These works expore the tension between order and intuition, structure and sesation, using a measured framework to create shifting relationships of colour, space and perception.'
