artist's name from consignor; according to the consignor 'Here is Pangnark at play. His characteristic abstraction presents a touching family scene, five people of perhaps three generations. The largest is 3.5 inches. George Arluk visited Pangnark while he was working, went home, then returned with the dog to complete the family - a classic collaboration!'
Provenance
The Yacowar-Petrie collection, 50 years in the making, comes from two longtime Calgarians now retired in Victoria, B.C. Anne Petrie was the award-winning CBC TV journalist [Petrie on Prime, etc.] and author [Gone to an Aunt’s]. English/Film Studies Professor Maurice Yacowar had a double stint at the University of Calgary, as the founding [and the first fired] editor of the student paper, The Gauntlet, then as Dean of Fine Arts.
